Definition of Virtual Mobility
Project partners organized a virtual mobility event to mark World Environment Day (June 5), a global United Nations initiative promoting environmental action in over 150 countries. The event included a keynote address by the leader of the TEMA Foundation (Turkish Foundation for Combating Erosion, Afforestation and Conservation of Natural Assets), focusing on combating single-use plastics and transitioning to a circular economy. Digital tools were used to ensure the participation of both students and teachers. While initially 8 participants from each partner school were planned to register for the virtual mobility, ultimately 63 students and teachers (including disadvantaged students who could not participate in physical mobility) actively took part. This is real evidence that the event was successful in raising students' environmental awareness and strengthening their understanding of sustainable practices.
